The brief
A private owner had two shipping containers and a lakeside plot. The quotation on the table oriented the units for easy craning, not for the view.

Site conditions
- Flat lakeside plot with seasonal flooding at the lower edge.
- Vehicle access good; craning straightforward.
- Prevailing wind off the water.

Important decisions
- Rotate the units so the long elevation faces the lake and glaze it fully.
- Raise the floor above the recorded flood line rather than build a bund.
- Accept a more complex crane lift as the cost of a better building.
